Jan de HAAS, born in Brussels on June 1st, 62, developed at an early age an interest for music, especially for percussion instruments. In 1979, he completed his studies at the Music Academy in Hoeilaart with Armand VANDEWALLE and obtained the "medal of the government". In 1979 -1981, he then continued his studies for three years at the Berklee College of Music in Boston (USA) and obtained in 1982 his "Performance Diploma" "cum laude".
