Live in Bonn 11/15/99
This final solo concert of the last European tour of the famous Brazilian guitarist Baden Powell was recorded in Bonn on November 15th 1999, less than a year before his death on September 26th 2000 in Rio. It bears witness to the return to the stage in top form of one of the greatest guitarists of the 20th century.
The physical album - released on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Baden's death - is accompanied by a booklet with photos, texts and interviews by several literary and musical figures.
Baden Powell de Aquino (1937-2000) was a Brazilian guitarist, composer and arranger, considered one of the greatest guitar masters of the twentieth century. His unique style blended classical virtuosity with the rhythm of samba, bossa nova and choro. He composed masterpieces such as Berimbau and Canto de Ossanha with the lyricist Vinícius de Moraes as his partner.
