This quintet is resolutely modern, both in its music and its musicians. Beaurain's compositions, all original, mark a rigorous work of writing while leaving a large part to interpretation and improvisation. Sensitive and energetic, the music comes to life through ballads with delicate harmonies as well as melodies with surprising rhythms.
